Learning Redefined In The Outdoor Classrooms, Close To Nature

In ancient times the Learning Centre or Gurukul used to be in the closest of nature far from the crowds and It was having humble cause to make the students ("Shishyas") well verse in the every aspect of Life but with the change in the time, Gurukul turned into the multi storey concrete buildings where tilt of education is on theory rather than the practical implementation.

We at sun holidays trying to innovate the learning experience and designing the modules in such a way which help the latent talent to 'show up', using the old fashioned Gurukul premises with new fashioned Management Development classrooms and viable Mentors to guide and support.

Our approach is evolving the management skills as inspiration for others and transforming from manager to leader.

Management Development Workshops are total transformations for Senior Management, Middle Management, Junior Management and Employees using soft adventure activities and management games in the proximity of the Nature.

How we do it ? (Pedagogy)
These workshops are aimed to take employees and executives, out of the normal office comfort zone and provide them some specially designed outdoor modules/exercises and management games. Out door training is much better approach than the conventional methods as this is a direct and visible means by which group interaction is assessed and modified. It emphasize on spot decision to make right and accurate strategy for winning of the team. In outdoor modules the 'familiarity', ‘support culture’ and 'rigidness' within the workplace are removed and the participants are able to concentrate on the activity and the training by making the training an effective, enjoyable and challenging experience. The outdoor workshops help in building the trust among team members.

The teams pass through a set of physical and mental challenges and simulations that generate data about the group dynamics behaviors, norms, and underlying beliefs. And that data is reviewed by a team of experts who give the feedback and suggestions to the team members for further improvements.

Benefits to organization

These modules are meant to provide the participants self - evaluation and introspection about the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT).These activities present a challenging environment, which stretches the "normally assumed" capabilities of the participants and helps them break out of their self-imposed "limitations or constraints".

The effects of these workshops are exhibited by the participated member when they work with 'positive attitude' in their work place after they return from the Management Development Workshops.
