The sacred lake of Manimahesh (4,115m), reflecting the image of Manimahesh Kailash towering above, draws the faithful by the tens of the thousand at the time of the annual pilgrimage. Manimahesh Lake, at the base of Mount Chamba Kailash (5,775m), is said to be adobe of Lord Shiva. Traditionally, pilgrims used to start from the Lakshminarayan Temple at Chamba (996m) and covered the 87-km route in seven stages, on foot.
By road we have to travel from Chamba to Bharmour ( 65 Km ), then to Hadsar ( 17 Km ) .

HADSAR – DHANCHO
Distance : 6 km
Time : 2 – 3 hours
Level : Easy
Start trek to Dhancho (2,900m) from Hadsar (2,100m). The trail will be passing from Gauri Nallah, Dibri, Tos Ka Goth and Dunali. Overnight stay in camp. |

DHANCHO – GAURI KUND – MANIMAHESH LAKE
Distance : 8 km
Time : 4 – 6 hours
Level : Moderate
Early morning we will start trekking from Dhancho to Manimahesh Lake. We will reach Manimahesh Lake via Jamaru, Sundrasi, Gauri Kund and Goth. Gauri Kund, a pond of glacial depression, is the place where women are expected to take a dip on their way to Manimahesh. Night stay in camp. |

GAURI KUND - HADSAR
Distance : 13 km
Time : 4 – 6 hours
Level : Easy
We will return to Hadsar from Manimahesh Lake on the same route. |
