Bhrigu (4,270 m) is a prominent lake of the Kullu region, located to the right (8 km south-west) of the Rohtang Pass. Legend holds that Bhrigh Rishi meditated here, and that many local gods of the Kullu Valley visit to take a dip in its sacred water. Most prominent among them is Guru Vashisht, who travels to the lake at least once in a two- three – year cycle. A natural forest of fir, spruce, moru and the higher altitude Kharsu oak trees surrounds Gulaba, from where trek starts. Famous as "Pool of Gods" .

MANALI – GULABA

Level : Moderate
Start trekking to Gulaba (2,700m) from Manali. Gulaba offers the panoramic view of Manali town and snow ranges.
Night stay in camp at Gulaba. |

GULABA – BHRIGU LAKE - GULABA
Distance : 14 km
Time : 6 – 8 hours
Level : Moderate
Early morning, we will start trekking to Bhrigu Lake (4,235m) from Gulaba. The trail takes off at the 14th Mor to the right (east) from the road and starts climbing through forest and pasture. Further path lies along the Nallah through the narrow Kolang Valley. The ridge around the lake offers a 360-degree view of the ranges around. Peaks of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar, the Lahaul triangle between the Chandra and the Bhaga rivers and even the more distant mountains in Spiti can be seen from here. Return to Gulaba for night stay and camping. |

Trek to Kothi (2,530m) from Gulaba. Night stay in camp at Kothi. |

KOTHI – MARRHI
Distance : 4 km
Time : 3 hours
Level : Tough
Early morning after breakfast we will start trekking to Marrhi (3,355m) from Kothi. Night Stay at Marrhi in camp. |

MARRHI – DASHAUR LAKE (SHEELA SAR) – MARRHI
Distance : 12 km
Time : 6 – 8 hours
Level : Moderate
Trek to Dashaur Lake from Marrhi. This is a level trek going towards the left of the Rohtang Pass leads to a beautiful glacial lake Dashaur. Return trek to Marrhi for night stay and camping. |
