| Kedarnath Trek - Shiva's Abode |
Located within the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, the ancient Shiva Temple is one of the many said to have been built in the 9th century by the Adi Shankarachya. Though it is depicted as easy trek, it is a respectable ascent, from 1800 to 3400m. |

| Day-2 |
RAMBARA - KEDARNATH
Distance : 6 km
Time : 3 hours
Level : Moderate
We will start trek from Rambara to Kedarnath in the morning. Once we will crest the path at Garurchatti, and we will be in Kedar Valley. We will be getting the feeling of having arrived in a high place and of being dwarfed by what lies beyond – great bank of moraine and snow, and the towering Kedarnath massif. Kedarnath (3,583m) is virtually a township, cluttered with eating houses, hostelries and shop selling religious memorabilia. |
